Saltillo Tile

Authentic Saltillo Floor Tile

Tierra y Fuego offers you the traditional Saltillo Tiles, a unique line of tile which has characterized Mexican, Southwest, and Spanish colonial design styles. We sell the Saltillo tile unsealed, so you can choose the finish of your preference. We do recommend you seal them before and after installation. The traditional Saltillo tile is available in the following:

NOTE:  Ordering samples is recommended before purchasing large quantities of our Saltillo floor tiles . Quantities, other than samples, will be shipped via a freight company. We will contact you via e-mail or telephone with an accurate shipping cost.

A penetrating sealer is recommended before and after the installation of Saltillo Floor Tiles.

Saltillo Tiles are NOT frost proof

 As with all handcrafted tile the Saltillo Floor Tile have color and size variations, possible small chips on the edges, and not perfectly flat contours. All Saltillo tiles have mineral deposits that may pop-up before, during, and/or after installation.  This is nevertheless the beauty and nature of all handcrafted tiles. The tile should be shuffled before installation to blend the color variations from different boxes or tiles.

The industry recommends to order 10-15% additional Saltillo tiles to account for breakages, miscalculations, cuts, and/or future tile repairs.
